K K Muhhamed is a prominent Indian Archaeologist and an acclaimed writer. He was the regional director (North) of Archaeological Survey of India.

His Major Achievements: –

— Excavated the Buddhist Stupa of Kesaria built by Emperor Ashoka.

— Conservation of temples in the Dantewada region of Chhattisgarh.

— Restoration of Bateswar Temple Complex in Madhya Pradesh.

— Discovered and excavated Buddhist Stupa in Rajgir.

Currently he is serving as Project Archaeological Director in the Aga Khan Trust for Culture.
